I think these are useful books for beginners. Many (but not all) of the “Teach Yourself Visually” series books are good — check reviews first on the one you are considering. This one (Powerpoint 2003) is a good one.

Easy to understand , illustrations are self explanatory. highly recommended for anyone who uses a PC with Power Point!
