-keep it simple, readable, comfortable to the eye.
-don’t use all powerpoint features
-the point is to make it in a sequence that make sence
-don’t write everything you’re going to say on the slides, you do the talking.
-when you present your slides, don’t hesitate to jump to any slide, previous or forward, the point is to delever the idea.
- make the presentation as interactive with the audience as possible or else it will be a good solution for “insomnia”
- careful with the colors you’re going to choose, make sure it matcher eachother and the background.
- preview your slides on projector before you go to the stage, probably the colors on your computer screen is not the same on projector.
Aus is right, You don’t need pizazz, just clarity, simplicity and YOUR ability to be comfortable presenting.
A boring speaker will give a boring presentation regardless of the pizazz of the PowerPoint.
Concentrate more on your public speaking rather than the special effects …
Consider your audience. If it’s a high school audience, for example, you can get a little wackier than if it’s an audience of graduate students, but it it’s an audience of PhD guys, keep it simple and direct.
