    Hi,

The file is probably an animated gif (file extension .gif).

Insert gif files into powerpoint as movies. They will play when the presentation is running, but not while you are editing (unless you are using a Mac, in which case you can play them in the normal view).

Use Insert > Movie > From File

Animaged .gif files can be copied from their source (like a web page) and simply pasted into PowerPoint. You won’t see the animation until you are in slide show mode. Or, if you have saved them to your computer, you can insert them from the Insert, Picture, From File menu option – again, they do their “thing” when you are in slide show mode.

The animation will show just under slide show mode.
Then if you have added music or videos to your PPT files, please make sure you have packaged them together once you transfer the PPT files from a computer to another. PPT files can embed images only but can not embed music and videos.
