You need to put the video on Yootube then put it on he slide

right click on it, and go to transititions. Automattically play when on screen. THere is a setting that is a when clicked. Make sure that is not checked or selected. THen try that.

You can either link the video from a hosted site like Google or You Tube if you have a fast enough internet connection or embed it using the insert function. Once inserted you can then resize it and choose the play options.

Caveats- Large video files might require a stout PC to operate smoothly.

If you lack a fast internet connection don’t bother, nothing is worse than having you audience wait to buffer/download.

You would go to Insert>Movies and Sounds>Movie From File…
Find the file in the box and click OK.
When it asks you if you want the video to start “Automatically” or “When Clicked”, click “Automatically” if you want it to start as soon as the slide is on the screen, or “When Clicked” if you want it to play when you click on it in the presentation.

Well, you can try this way:
    1. Open your PowerPoint, on the Insert menu, point to Movies and Sounds, and then click Movie from File.
    2. Click the video you want to add and then click OK.
    3. After you click OK, you’ are promoted with a message asking how you want the movie to start in the slide show.

If you want to get more details about that, you can refer to this article:

    Hope it helps.
