Add great pics and animation and heck maybe even add sound but not to much or else the powerpoint may have a little to much buzz.

Powerpoint is very easy to use and offers a wide variety of effects, animations, and sounds. It also offers some templates and default color combinations that are supposed to be good. You may use one of these or design your own. However, bear in mind that too many different animations or sounds are not good. They only distract people fromo your ideas.
    - Use few words and lots of images
    - Each screen should be readable in a few seconds (you can always go back afterwards).
    - The projected image will probably be somewhat brighter than what you see in your monitor. Consider this when choosing colors. Avoid for instance blue on red, which is impossible to read. If in doubt, stick with the pre-designed color combinations.
    - A good transition effect is worth more than 100 animations (this tip from my boyfriend).
    - Please don’t make text appear letter by letter! It’s annoying and time-wasting, and more difficult to read.
    - Remember to practice your presentation; know your timing. Powerpoint has an option to time each slide so as to make sure you’re not too slow or too fast.

Use this website if you’d like: to find templates for pre-built slides and presentations.
