I have received a powerpoint presentation that has been saved as a pps file (which means it goes straight into the presentation) rather than a ppt file (which opens in powerpoint allowing you to edit the presentation). How do I extract some pictures from within the presentation?

you need to download Power Point Viewer. you can google it & find the microsoft website for free download

If you are using XP when you open PowerPoint you should be able to click on the name of your presentation in the side toolbar.

If you are using Vista open the start menu and flash your mouse over your recent items. If you don’t see the name of your presentation then you might have to search the name.

PowerPoint Viewer is already downloaded if you have Vista.
